Meet Lucienne
Hola, soy Lucienne.
I’m a Spanish teacher and mom raising my own children to be multilingual. I’ve been teaching Spanish for almost ten years to beginners and beyond, and I'm convinced that learning a language doesn’t have to mean memorizing lists of vocabulary and translating everything into English. I love teaching, and now that I have children of my own, watching them learn language has been the most rewarding and exciting teaching experience of my life. I get to see, in real time, how their brains soak up language, make meaning, make mistakes, and put it all together. It has made me even more passionate about using stories, repetition, and lots of comprehensible Spanish to help learners experience the language rather than just study it. I created Clase de Profe to share the things I’ve learned and the resources I’ve created along the way. Everything here is built on second language acquisition research, combined with real-life experience in the classroom and at home.
